Purchasing computers and equipment

Please submit a request using this form (requires UPMC login) to purchase:

  • Computers, including desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, and other related equipment used for research purposes
  • Computer-related accessories and other peripherals, including external hard drives, printers, scanners, and video recorders used for research
  • Wireless devices, sensors, trackers, and other IoT devices that are used for research purposes

As a reminder, all departmental-owned computers, monitors, peripherals, and other IT equipment used for research must first be approved by the Office of Academic Computing (OAC) before purchase.

Be sure to use a research cost center when ordering computers that will be used for research. Computers that are used for clinical programs must be ordered through the IT Service Portal using a clinical cost center.
